Trial of Transjakarta Service to Soetta Airport Begins

The Jakarta Provincial Government is trying to operate Transjakarta services from Kalideres Bus Terminal to Soekarno Hatta International Airport (Soetta) and vice versa, Wednesday (7/5).

There will be ten buses operate for two weeks ahead

This transportation service is the result of Transjakarta's synergy with Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub) and PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono disclosed the public transportation access to Soetta Airport is to facilitate Jakartans who work in and around the airport.

"It also serves all people who at certain times have an interest in going to Soetta Airport," he said.

It will operate from 6 AM to 9 AM and from 6 PM to 9 PM.

"There will be ten buses operate for two weeks ahead," he expressed.

The routes start from Kalideres Bus Terminal via Jalan Tampak Siring- Jalan Utan Jati-Jalan Peta Barat - Jalan Citra Garden 7 - Jalan Alam Raya - Jalan Rawa Lele - Jalan Rawa Lele 1 - Jalan Husein Sastranegara 2 - Jalan Husein Sastranegara 1 - SHIA 1 Gate- Opposite Sowan Shopping Tour - Jalan Cengkareng Golf Club 1 - Soewarna Foodhall 1 - Jalan Cengkareng Golf Club 3 - Cargo Terminal 1 - Cargo Terminal 2 - Airport Train Station and vice versa.

Every day, the bus will be able to carry 2,500 passengers. Meanwhile, the trip time from the starting point of departure to the end is estimated to take between 40-45 minutes.

During this trial period, a questionnaire will be provided for users to give input and evaluate the service. Afterward, an evaluation and determination of fares will be conducted for users who access the service.

"During the trial, we imposed a zero rupiah rate, we'll see how it goes according to the conditions," he asserted.

Angkasa Pura II President Director, Muhammad Awaluddin, appreciated the Jakarta Provincial Government's support and commitment to provide Transjakarta services to Soetta Airport.

Moreover, the process is relatively fast, starting from May 28, while it has already been tried out for its operation since July 5.

"We're grateful, this service can be enjoyed by all people, not only workers, but also all users of airport services. Hopefully, it will be a benefit and blessing for all of us," he closed.
